Memorandum from the Executive Secretary, Virginia NAACP, to "All Virginia NAACP Branches, Youth Councils and College Chapters," dated October 23, 1956. Contains orders that all Virginia NAACP "units" are to solely focus on "a door-to-door community-wide suffrage program," followed by reasoning: the need to support desegregation-friendly court decisions by voting in elected officials that will carry out those decisions.
