Iowa Silent Reading Test, Grades 7 and

The Virginia State Department of Education administered the Iowa Silent
Reading Test to the 195**~55 eighth grade class in the spring of 195^ near
the end of their seventh grade work and in the spring of 1955 near the end
of their eighth grade work. The purpose of the two administrations of two
forms of this test one year apart to the same students was to show their
growth in reading achievement over a one year period,, The Virginia State
Department of Education also scored both of these tests.
