NAACP press release dated April 20, 1959, entitled "26,000 Young People Demonstrate for Integrated Public Education." Reports on the second Youth march for Integrated Schools in Washington DC, where 26,000 college and high school students marched for public school integration. Speakers included Roy Wilkins, A. Phillip Randolph, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mrs. L. C. Bates, Jackie Robinson, Harry Belafonte and Tom Mboya. Quotes from Wilkins, Randolph, King, and Mboya were printed in the release. Congressman Charles Diggs makes an appearance, and citations were given to many of the speakers and to Rabbi Emmett Frank of Arlington. 3 pages
