[Arlington] Daily Sun clipping from May 18, 1956. Article deals with Governor Thomas B. Stanley reconsidering the Gray Commission's plan for school desegregation, in favor of other methods of preserving segregation. Article also describes the Gray Commission plan and the current legal status of the desegregation of Virginia public schools. Clipping also includes a photograph and caption of the audience at the Arlington and Fairfax County NAACP event featuring speaker Congressman Charles Diggs and a reference to an article on that event on page two of the newspaper.
